Size is 22 x 16in. Please note print will not be mounted- it makes posting easier and safer. Depression is an awful condition something that affects millions of people. It does not discriminate from age, race, colour or class and can be crippling for the person afflicted. As someone who has had to deal with a very close family member suffering from this, I decided to paint something that reflects my feelings. The painting shows a handsome, happy actor looking in a mirror. He is surrounded by positivity and success. On a table is a photograph of his beautiful wife, with a Bafta award for best actor. He drinks expensive champagne and drives a rare Bugatti car. Then we see the depressed side of him. Sad, dishevelled and crying. Now divorced and unemployable, he drinks from a cheap bottle of whisky, mixed with depression pills. His wedding ring sits idle next to a torn photo and a wilted red rose. It hopefully represents the devastating effects that depression can cause. The one and only run is limited to only 150. Each print has been produced using the highest quality giclee method of printing using Ultra Chrome inks and on 300 gsm White Cotton Archival paper.
