A lovely boxed solid silver condiment set, consisting of an open salt, a pepper, and a mustard pot, by the Birmingham silversmith Suckling Ltd. The salt and mustard pots both have blue glass liners. They all stand on four feet and have wavy edges. Hallmarks : The set is English Silver hallmarked for Birmingham with dates between 1940 and 42 (anchor, Lion Passant, Date Letter Q/R/S), The maker’s mark’S Ld’ refers to the silversmith Suckling Ltd. Dimensions: The salt has a 5.7cm width, is c. 3cm tall and weighs 33.5g (excluding glass liner) It is hallmarked for 1942 (date letter S). The mustard pot is c. 5cm high (including finial) and c. 5.5cm wide (excluding handle) and weighs 49.2g (excluding glass liner) It is hallmarked for 1942 (date letter S). The pepper is c. 7.7cm high and weighs 40.7g. It is hallmarked for 1941 (date letter R). The spoons are 6.5g and weigh c3.3g each. They are hallmarked for 1940 (date letter Q). Total silver weight (not including the blue liners) is c. Condition: The set is in good condition, with no splits or repairs. The blue liners fit slightly above the lip meaning the lid doesn’t shut completely on the mustard pot. The tip of one of the spoons is slightly bent. The lining in the lid of the box is a little dirty. Recorded 2nd Class: FREE (this will not insure the item, but the parcel can be traced and it will be’signed for’). Zenith limited edition Of 250 Pieces Solid 18K Chronometer Grande Class. Comes with box (very large) and outer box as well as instructions with a grande class watch pictured as well as warrenty card, and original C. Very rare as i was able to get the original and a collectors item, as most watch companies dont provide these. Also has Zenith Gold medallion in box. Work was done by the head watchmaker at LVMH Zenith and watch after the original watchmaker at Zenith I felt had left a small fingerprint mark on dial and dust. As a result I sent it back and the head watchmaker who is from Zenith Switzerland and normally does not do work, personally overhauled the entire watch and made it better than when I bought it about 12 years ago, directly from LVMH Zenith. The watch is stunning and you will (probably with only 249 other in existence and no longer made) see another one either for sale or on someone’s wrist. The rotor is in 22K gold. The watch comes with the service ppwk as well as box and papers all original and a Zenith hard cover book with the same watch pictured. I wore this maybe 5 times a year to suit or tux events only, and it is immaculate, the crystal has NO scratches on it nor the anti reflective coating. The matte finish was hand done by the master watchmaker at my request and makes the watch absolutely stunning. The main reason is this is a 44mm and I now only wear 41 -42mm watches and this is a little big for my new tastes. If this doesn’t sell for my price, I will put it in the bank safety deposit box and keep as a gold investment, however I will consider reasonable offers.
