Nancy Willis Limited Edition Silk Screen Print’Flying Trapeze’ C1988 2/18. Nancy Willis is a London-based artist who has been exhibiting since the early 1980s. Her processes include painting, printmaking, sculpture, mixed media and moving image. Nancy’s work explores universal themes like love, loss and human vulnerability from her experience of life as a disabled woman. In her early career, Nancy joyfully embraced the freedoms of being an artist in contrast to the restrictions she had experienced in her education at a’special’ school. Nancy was Artist in Residence at Hammersmith Hospital and Byam Shaw School of Art. She has exhibited in the Whitechapel Open, Diorama Art Gallery, Laing Art Gallery, and BBC Television Centre. In lovely condition with some small signs of wear, fading and discoloration commensurate with age. Please check photos as they are an integral part of the description. Frame 49cm x 6Ocm. Framed Erte Silk Scarf Italy. I had this silk scarf framed many years ago by someone who specialized in silk scarf framing. Its very difficult to perfectly frame a silk scarf. This one is perfect and has remained perfect over the years. The scarf is in excellent condition!! The frame itself does have a few nicks and the one side does have the laminate peeling. But it is not noticeable while hanging in wall. There are also some tears in the backing paper on back of frame. Please note this frame does not have glass over it. A silk framing should never have glass over it. It needs to be breathable. Please look at all photos posted.
