Market the Hard Gray DLC (Diamond Like Carbon). The Hard series is based on LWs original The One model, but with a different bezel, hands, color and dial to create a unique aesthetic. The case, in DLC gray coating, is unlike any Linde Werdelin has previously offered. The case shares the same dimensions as the rest of the Linde Werdelin watches to ensure the safe attachment of both The Rock and The Reef instruments for extreme skiing and diving respectively. The Hard Gray DLC also features vivid color contrast between the red logo and the bright yellow hands and luminous hour markers. The steel case for this limited edition first goes through a hardening process. Finished (micro-bead blasted) before the DLC is applied in the coating chamber. This ensures an even tougher case coating. Next, the case is blasted with approximately one-thousandth of a millimeter of carbon to create a surface up to three times harder than steel and second only to diamond in hardness. This hydrogen-free diamond structure modifies the case in such a way that it guarantees extreme durability and a very high degree of scratch and corrosion resistance.
