Offered to you is this ” VINCENT’S SKETCHBOOKS ” LIMITED EDITION. Facsimile edition of Van Gogh’s sketchbooks. A limited edition of only 1000 units. As close as you can get to the original sketchbooks!! This edition features facsimiles of the four surviving sketchbooks, the loose sketchbook drawings and two cahiers containing cheerful drawings that Van Gogh made for Betsy Tersteeg, the young daughter of Hermanus Tersteeg, Van Gogh’s manager at the Goupil & Cie art dealership. In order to help ensure the best possible result, a total of 25 acclaimed Dutch companies and craftspeople were involved in the creation of the facsimile. The facsimiles, each in separate felt-lined drawer, come in a walnut cabinet which opens on all four sides at the same time. On top of the box is a special edition on the work and the period in which the sketchbooks were used. Further, a walnut frame pulls out from underneath the cabinet for the loosse sketches.
