PLUS EXTRA UPPER & LOWER JOINT FOR PARTS/KEYS. Conn 524N is indeed a Museum Quality and Collector Quality. The clarinet is in MINT condition. There are no dents, the bell is straight & level, the micro-tuner barrel works perfectly. The 24kt gold wash finish in MINT condition, original Conn eagle logo mouthpiece present, orginal mouthpiece cap/ligature, the case interior is in mint condition, the exterior is in “good” condition with the handles in tact, the case key is present (very rare), AND all original accessories are present. This is what serious collectors like myself demand. A perfect addition to a museum collection since it is all original for viewers to examine. However, this estimate has remained the same for at least 7-10 years. Excellent all orginal 524N models are getting harder to find due to collectors holding on to them. Sellers, and persons/heirs who have found one in Grandma’s or old Uncle Joe’s attic. Very nice Professional C. Conn 4 piece metal clarinet. All original in excellent condition with all original accessories. This clarinet is fully functional and plays full range top to bottom. Regular double bladder pads installed that are in very good condition. If the new owner plans on playing this clarinet on a regular basis I highly recommend installing quality leather pads throughout. If the new owner is a collector just adding this to his/her collection, it is a fine example of an all original 100% intact clarinet. Metal Body: made of quality german silver (nickel silver) satin finish, with smooth finish accents. Many advertise the 524N model as silver plated, but this is not true. Conn 514N model has a silver plated body. The bell has a 24kt gold wash finish. Micro Tuner barrel functions perfectly. Butter smooth adjusting/telescoping action. Keys: german silver (nickel silver). Keys are in excellent condition. All keys function properly and all springs (blued steel) are in tact. Conn case in very good condtion, not perfect but still in great shape considering age. Both leather handles intact. External hardware is solid brass. Both latches spring action functions perfectly. Internal green velvet in superb condition. Leather is intact with some cosmetic issues. Original key operates locks perfectly. Original Conn Eagle logo mouthpiece. Original Conn Ligature and mouthpiece cap. Original Conn Music lyre/music holder. This clarinet is from my personal collection. Corks and pads are in very good condition because I do not play this clarinet on a regular basis… Maybe 3 times a years. I primarily play my Pan American Moderne 584N by C. Conn which is the same design, just with different logos and a smooth german silver fnish. It is a C. Conn Stencil, meaning it is the same clarinet made by C. Conn that was simply branded Pan American. Example: Buffet-Crampon made the Olds Opera model clarinet which is a Buffet R-13. The Olds Opera is a Buffet R13 stencil, same exact clarinet. I have included an upper and lower joint from a C. Conn Pan American 584N metal clarinet. The 584N clarinet is exactly the same design as the 524N, all parts are interchangeable. The bells are interchangeable. I have polished the keys and body. All keys are present. Spring is broken on the lower joint. New pads installed, but not set, adjusted, seated/floated.
